In early 2019 we worked with John Connolly and Partners to thwart the WA government Minister David Kelly’s plans to nationalise part of WA’s rock lobster fishery and raise the catch quota to an unsustainable level. We created a newspaper, billboard and radio campaign to rally public sympathy for the cray fishing families and their communities. Two weeks after the campaign broke, crowds were marching on the WA Parliament chanting our slogan ‘Keep your hand off the crays, Mr Kelly’, and within a month the WA Government abandoned the initiative.
